Day 1
The Armstrong Pullup Program Tracker serves as a concise visual guide to the routine. This day focuses on conducting five maximum effort sets, with a 90-second rest period between each set. It is advisable not to fixate on the numbers during the initial sets; often, participants may observe progress in the last two sets before realizing significant improvements in the first three. Each set should be executed with maximum effort.
Day 2
Known as Pyramid Day, this session begins with one repetition, gradually increasing to two, then three, and so forth. Continue this ascending pattern until you are unable to complete a set (for instance, if your last successful set was five repetitions but you only managed four for the next set, this would indicate a missed set). Following this, perform one additional maximum effort set, allowing for a 10-second rest for each repetition performed in the previous set.
Day 3
Engage in three training sets using a standard overhand grip, with a 60-second rest between each. Subsequently, switch to a grip that positions your palms facing towards you, allowing your little fingers to touch. Again, perform three training sets with this grip style. Finally, conclude with three training sets utilizing a wide grip, ensuring to rest for 60 seconds between each set.
Day 4
Aim to perform the maximum number of training sets achievable on this day, adhering to 60 seconds of rest between each set. Continue this process until you are unable to execute a perfect training set. This particular day has the potential to become one of the longer training sessions, as participants often find it easier to complete numerous training sets.
Day 5
Revisit the day that proved most challenging over the past four days; this will vary from week to week based on individual experience.
